CoPE - Certificate of Personal Effectiveness

 
 

For pupils to complete a range of varied and exciting challenges enabling them to develop transferable skills, in areas such as:- working with others, improving own learning and performance and problem solving.
Challenges would include:

  • Sport and leisure – taking part in indoor and outdoor activities. Identify leisure activities you would like to try. Look at different occupations in the leisure industry.
  • Independent living – learning to live within a budget. Collecting information on the cost of buying or renting properties. Opening bank and building society accounts.
  • Health and fitness – looking at diet, healthy lifestyles. Developing first aid knowledge and skills.
  • Work related learning – finding out about the recruitment process and further training and education opportunities. Identifying collage courses that interest you. Plan and complete work experience placements.
  • Expressive arts – researching famous artists. Story writing. Producing creative work using art and technology.
  • Challenges may be completed in a variety of situations – in school or college, in the community, the workplace and also in the home.
