Oakwood High School, Salford, is celebrating
its fourth year of being A Specialist Arts and Technology
College, an ‘Outstanding OFSTED’ and the likely
expectation of the school being invited to become a ‘High
Performing Specialist College’.
The evening will showcase achievements of Oakwood pupils
and pupils from our partner schools. The programme will
begin with an ‘Art Attack’, followed by a
dance devised with the international inclusive dance
company CanDoCo, a visual arts display, pupils modelling
jewellery designed in collaboration with Carrie-Ann Black
and emerging artist Julia Roy-Williams, an Art Auction
and culminate with the pupil’s modelling their
own designs, some done in workshops with local fashion
designer Sissy Rooney, in a ‘Fashion Show’ to
the music compiled with the help of Bernard Sumner.
