Family Welcome
Parents in Years 7 and 8 were given the chance to join their children for 8 workshops held in school focusing on areas of Social and Emotional development.
The Family Welcome programme is designed to help young people to settle quickly into their secondary school and for parents and young people to work together, with the school to help them to be happy and successful.
This has been the first time this Programme has run in school and the feedback from the young people and the parents involved has been fantastic!
What do parents say!
“Family welcome has changed my life and my family for the better!”
“Family Welcome is the best thing we ever did. My daughter settled into secondary school quickly and has not looked back!”
The Family Welcome Programme is currently running with 10 Year 7 families. This is the second Programme we have run in school.
The sessions are taking place on a Friday afternoon from 1pm until 3pm.
