Triple P Programme

Triple P Positive Parenting Programme is to help support parents developing positive attitudes, skills and behaviour, sessions can be tailor made to fit each groups needs. This hopefully will lead to a modification of parental expectation and stress. The course facilitators are fully trained and qualified in the Triple P Programme. The programme runs for six weeks, and to compliment this we are able to run a course for the Young People called Footsteps which is personal development course again facilitated by trained qualified staff from the Integrated Youth Support Service.

The main sessions consist of the following:

Each session is supported by a DVD to look at how some strategies can be used and to start a group discussion. Each parent will receive a parent workbook that they can use during the sessions to jot down some ideas or to keep for reference purpose when the group sessions have finished.

Parents will be set a home task each week based on part of the content they have looked at during the session. Each parent will be asked if they would like to share with the group how the home task went the following week.

What do other parents, guardians, carers say?

"I am so glad I did this program. I feel a lot more confident as a parent and my son knows what to expect. Consistency is the key for me. Thank you."

"It has helped me to see that not all the problems were my son’s attitude but how I dealt with them. The biggest changes came in my own response."
"Excellent. Every parent should do this course. Many thanks."

"It really helped having my child do some sessions that ran alongside the Triple P"
