Safeguarding

Oakwood Academy consider Safeguarding extremely important and takes it very seriously to safeguard our pupils.

As with all schools we have a pastoral responsibility and are legally obliged to pass on concerns about child welfare to Children’s Social Care following the local Safeguarding Children’s Board. These combined Policies: Safeguarding, Child Protection and Safe Recruitment Vetting Policies are in place to protect children and young people attending this school.

Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact:

Safeguarding Officer - Mrs A. Nicholson (Headteacher)
Child Protection Officer - Mr S. Heeley (Deputy Headteacher)
