Oakwood pupils will ‘Go Global’

Problem: 759 million illiterate people in the world

Solution: educate every child, equal chances for girls and women and share responsibility for making the world a better place.

On Wednesday 11th January Oakwood pupils will be partnering School’s Network INET in their ‘Go Global’ programme to raise funds for ‘Room To Read’ to purchase library books in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Laos. Pupils for the day will become ‘Global Entrepreneurs’, discussing the UN Millennium Development Goals and designing their own enterprise activities. The enterprise day will be led by Oakwood’s Design and Technology Dept.
